Chris Apgar, CISSP, president of Apgar & Associates, LLC and former HIPAA Compliance officer for Providence Health Plans in Oregon and SW Washington, is a nationally recognized information security, privacy, transaction & code sets, national identifier, HIPAA & electronic health information exchange expert.  His clients range from small to large health plans, providers, healthcare clearinghouses, vendors, non-profits, government and health care associations.

Dr. Joachim Hammer is a recognized expert in scaling and searching massive databases.  Dr. Hammer is an associate professor at the University of Florida, where he specializes in knowledge discovery, data warehousing and information integration.  Prior to joining the University of Florida, Dr. Hammer was a research scientist in the database group at Stanford University and received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Southern California. 

Dr. Hammer has published over sixty (60) papers and articles on databases.

Laura Kolkman, President Mosaica Partners, LLC

Laura Kolkman is the President of Mosaica Partners, LLC a leader in the field of healthcare information technology.  Prior to founding Mosaica Partners, she held increasingly responsible management and technical positions in the pharmaceutical and distribution industries including serving as CIO of Pharmerica, a $ 5 Billion NYSE listed company, Vice President, Information Technology for Northern Europe for Arrow Electronics and Senior Director, Global R&D IT Business Solutions Delivery at Upjohn and Pharmacia.
 
Ms. Kolkman graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan with a BSN in Nursing.  After working as an RN, Assistant Director of Nursing and a Nursing Instructor, Ms. Kolkman returned to school and earned an MS in Computer Science from Western Michigan University.

Dr. Richard Newman (Nemo), Security Research Professor, University of Florida

Dr. Newman is a faculty member at the University of Florida where he teaches information security and computer science.  Nemo is active in commercial and government research, having been awarded over $ 4 million of contracts and grants on projects relating to Denial of Service Attacks, Intrusion Detection,   Biometric Authentication, Information Hiding and Inter-domain MLS access control.  Nemo has published over 50 articles in Refereed Conference Publications. 
 
In addition to his success in research, Nemo has been recognized by for his outstanding faculty service having received awards for:

Chris Schellman is co-founder and executive vice president of SAS 70 Solutions, Inc. Prior to founding SAS 70 Solutions, Chris was a “Big 4” executive with responsibilities for providing a broad range of risk consulting services. Chris currently participates on over 40 SAS 70 audit projects each year and is considered one of the nation’s leading experts in the area of SAS 70 and COSO-based audits.

Chris also has also performed many information security assessments and detailed internal control consulting engagements. Chris has prior experience as both a “Big 4” financial statement auditor, as well as an internal auditor for a publicly traded financial institution. Although Chris has significant experience in multiple industries, his primary focus has traditionally been directed towards advanced technologies. Chris has performed controls reviews for companies in the ASP, certificate authority, and emerging technology markets, among many others. Chris has provided professional services for multiple Global 1000, Fortune 500 and regional companies during the course of his career.
 
Mr. Schellman holds a B.S. and M.S., both in accounting from the University of Tennessee.

Andy Swenson, Director of Information Security and Infrastructure, Tribridge Consulting

Andy has overall responsibility for the development and management of the Information Security and Infrastructure Practice at Tribridge. Andy has over 20 years of information technology experience with middle market and Fortune 500 companies.  His experience includes all aspects of information technology, including information security and infrastructure services, strategic planning, new product development, and project management. 
 
Prior to joining Tribridge, Andy founded Integration Specialists, Inc. (ISI), which was acquired by Tribridge in July 2003. ISI specialized in information security and infrastructure services. Prior to founding ISI, Andy served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer with two public companies – Sykes Enterprises, Inc. and ABR Information Services, Inc.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Coleman College in San Diego, California and a Telecommunications Management Certification from Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tennessee.
